CSR activity: Pawject

We believe every life matters and desire to create a more compassionate world where all beings are valued and treated with kindness.

One of the ways we manifest this belief is through our dedicated Corporate Social Responsibility activity, affectionately named Pawject. Our initiative aims to improve the lives of stray dogs that often are neglected. These wonderful animals deserve love, care, and a safe environment.

Through Pawject, we aim to provide them with medical assistance, vaccination, food, and, most importantly, much love. We strive tirelessly to ensure these voiceless animals are heard and cared for. We are determined to our cause as we continue to work towards a world where every life is respected and cherished.

How it all started:

Our journey began during the global pandemic lockdown in 2020. As the world retreated indoors, we noticed the plight of stray dogs in our community. With restaurants and local eateries closed these innocent creatures were left with no food scraps to scavenge. Their desperate eyes and skeletal frames were heart-wrenching. It was a sight that stirred us deeply and sparked a resolve in our hearts to make a difference. We decided to step up and take responsibility for their well-being. Thus, our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activity was born out of necessity and compassion. We started with feeding a few strays in our locality, which soon expanded to a full-scale feeding and vaccination program. Today, we’re proud to say that we’ve impacted the lives of hundreds of stray dogs, providing them with the care they deserve.

Our Current Commitment

At the heart of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities is our ongoing initiative to provide food and vaccinate homeless dogs. We believe in contributing positively to our community, including extending care and compassion to our four-legged friends who don’t have a home.

Feeding Initiative

Our feeding program ensures that homeless dogs receive nutritious meals regularly. This not only keeps them healthy but also helps to improve their quality of life. We feed around 100 stray dogs every day and provide them with a home-cooked meal prepared in consultation with the vets.

Vaccination Program

Recognizing the importance of health and well-being for these dogs, we also provide vaccinations. We understand the integral role that vaccination plays not only in dog welfare but also in public health. By vaccinating stray dogs against diseases like rabies, we’re improving community safety and preventing the spread of preventable diseases. Our team is dedicated to working with veterinarians to ensure these animals receive the care they need.

Our stories

Here are a few stories that highlight the impact of our corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.

dog named as Laali

1. Laali’s road to recovery:

Laali is a friendly stray who loves to play with the local kids and enjoys sleeping in the Sun. But one fateful day, Laali was struck by a car. He was found whimpering in pain, unable to move.

When the locals informed us, we immediately rushed him to a nearby vet, where he received emergency treatment. His injuries were severe, but he was found in time.

Over the next few weeks, Laali underwent intensive care and treatment, supported by our feeding and vaccination program. His strength gradually returned with regular meals, and his wounds began to heal with medical care. It was a slow process, but Laali was a fighter.

Seeing Laali take his first tentative steps after recovery was an emotional moment for everyone involved. From being a dog in distress, Laali had transformed into a symbol of resilience and hope.

Today, Laali is back to his playful self.

the story of misty

2. The story of Misty:

Misty’s story is both heart-wrenching and inspirational. This brave female dog had lost all her puppies three times in a row, leaving her depressed and heartbroken. When we learned about Misty’s situation, we knew we had to help.

As soon as Daisy gave birth again to six puppies, we stepped in to ensure the safety and well-being of her newborn pups. We provided them with regular feedings and vaccinated them to protect them from common illnesses. Seeing her puppies healthy and active brought a noticeable change in Misty’s behavior. She started playing with them, wagging her tail, and showing signs of happiness we hadn’t seen in a long while.

To prevent any further suffering, we also decided to get Misty neutered. It was a tough decision but was in Misty’s best interest. Today, Misty lives with her healthy pups, free from the cycle of loss and grief she had experienced before. She’s a testament to the profound impact of our feeding and vaccination program.

3. Buddy’s take: Short life. Big impact.

Buddy, a playful pup we fed daily, tragically succumbed to Parvovirus, a fatal disease for unvaccinated puppies. Despite our and Animal Hospital’s around-the-clock care, he couldn’t overcome the illness.

Buddy’s spirit remained inspiring, even in his struggle, and his loss has only solidified our resolve. His story underlines the critical need for our feeding and vaccination program, aiming to prevent such tragedies.

Our Corporate Social Responsibility activities go beyond feeding and vaccinating strays. They’re about saving lives, improving conditions, and ensuring no dog suffers like Buddy did. His memory inspires us with each rescue, each enhanced life, and each happily wagging tail.

Buddy’s tragic story underscores our mission’s urgency. We strive for a world where no stray pup faces such hardship.

These stories are just a glimpse of the work we do. Each day, we strive to make a difference in the lives of stray dogs, providing them with the care and love they deserve. As part of our CSR activities, we’re not just feeding and vaccinating these dogs but giving them a chance at a better life.

Our future plan

A Shelter Home:

Our vision expands beyond feeding and vaccination as we move forward. We aim to establish a full-fledged shelter home for homeless dogs. This shelter will provide a safe and nurturing environment where these dogs can thrive while waiting for a forever home.

Centre for Kids

Alongside our shelter home, we also plan to introduce a center for children. Here, parents can bring their kids to learn about dogs – their behaviors, needs, and the importance of treating them with kindness and respect.

Promoting Human Values

This initiative serves a dual purpose. While the dogs receive human interaction, essential for socialization, the children learn invaluable life lessons. Caring for these dogs will teach them compassion, patience, and responsibility – values that will shape them into caring and conscientious adults.

Education And Awareness

We plan to conduct regular educational sessions and workshops. These will focus on promoting responsible pet ownership, understanding animal rights, and the importance of adoption.

By integrating these elements into our plans, we hope to provide a haven for homeless dogs and foster a community of young individuals who are educated, compassionate, and proactive about animal welfare.
